Travis Scott Released After Miami Beach Arrest for Disorderly Conduct

The 33-year-old “Astroworld” star was arrested early Thursday on a charge of disorderly conduct and trespassing property after allegedly yelling at people on a yacht.

According to police documents, rapper Travis Scott allegedly yelled at people on a yacht in Miami Beach, Florida, leading to his early Thursday arrest on a disorderly intoxication charge.

Around 4:30 in the morning, the 33-year-old rapper known as “goosebumps,” whose actual name is Jacques Bermon Webster, was arrested for disorderly intoxication and trespassing on property after receiving a warning. He was lodged into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

“Mr. Scott was momentarily detained as a result of a misunderstanding,” Bradford Cohen, his attorney, stated. “We appreciate the police’s cooperation in bringing this matter to a quick and peaceful conclusion; there was definitely no physical altercation.”

According to a Miami Beach Police arrest document, Scott was taken into custody after officers were dispatched to the Miami Beach Marina early on Thursday in response to a report of an unruly situation on a yacht. Someone had reported that there were fights on board the ship to dispatch.

Scott was “standing by the dock yelling at the vessel occupants” when police arrived. According to authorities, Scott initially obeyed the police’s orders to sit down but later ignored them. The complainant said authorities he just wanted the rapper off the ship and did not want to file charges.

According to the affidavit, officers detected “a strong smell of alcohol coming from the defendant’s breath.”

He eventually consented to leave the dock under threat of arrest, but he left with a commotion, according to officials. According to the affidavit, Scott “walked backwards yelling obscenities to the occupants of the vessel” as he made his way to the boardwalk.

He left the marina, but returned five minutes later and was seen by officers walking back toward the vessel.

Scott spoke to a sergeant he had spoken to earlier and began yelling once again — “becoming erratic” and “disturbing the peace of the occupants of the marina and nearby residential buildings causing a public disturbance,” the affidavit said.

According to the affidavit, he was taken into custody at 1:17 a.m. Later on, Scott acknowledged that he had been consuming alcohol and said, “This is Miami.”

Later on Thursday, the star shared a photo of his mugshot, edited with sunglasses and headphones on, on his Instagram story.

Scott shares two children with Kylie Jenner, though they are no longer together: Stormi, 6, and Aire, 2.

His arrest comes just eight days before he’s set to start his European tour, Circus Maximus, in The Netherlands.
