During a heated matchup in the Big XII between Colorado and Texas Tech, Shilo Sanders, one of head coach Deion Sanders’ children, found himself in a confrontation with an opposing player.
With Colorado leading 34-27 and Texas Tech pinned in their own territory, Red Raiders quarterback Behren Morton fumbled while attempting a pass.
Shilo, one of Deion’s three kids, seized the opportunity, scooping up the ball and running it into the end zone for a touchdown, bringing the Buffaloes’ score to 41-27.
He celebrated with a signature move that his father made famous nearly three decades ago, joined by his brother, quarterback Shedur Sanders, who rushed over to join the fun.
As they made their way back to the sideline, a Texas Tech ball boy attempted to retrieve the ball from Shilo, swatting at it in the process.

Shilo picked up the ball and began to walk away, while Shedur and their brother Deion Jr. confronted the ball boy.
Shedur got in the ball boy’s face and started arguing, but Deion Jr. escalated things by pushing the Texas Tech staffer on the shoulder and shouting obscenities at him.
It seems Shedur intervened and pulled Deion Jr. away from the ball boy, and no further confrontation took place.
Although Deion Jr. does not play for the team, he runs a YouTube channel called ‘Well Off Media’ that features behind-the-scenes footage of the CU football program. In the videos, he can often be seen holding a camera.
As the eldest of the Sanders siblings, Deion Jr. played wide receiver at SMU for three seasons from 2013 to 2015, making 30 receptions for 233 yards and returning kickoffs for the Mustangs.
The game between Colorado and Texas Tech was highly charged, with Texas Tech fans throwing various objects onto the field, including water bottles and tortillas.
Coach Deion Sanders, not to be confused with his son, urged officials to take action regarding the situation, while Texas Tech coach Joey McGuire took the microphone to reprimand the crowd.
After the game, Deion Sanders remarked, “They were throwing everything but my mama at me. Thank God a tortilla is soft; it’s not hard.”
He continued, “But when they start throwing water bottles and other objects, that’s when you need to alert the officials and say, ‘Okay, tortillas are one thing, but water bottles are another.’ That’s getting a little out of hand.”
Deion expressed gratitude that Texas Tech coach Joey McGuire took the initiative to address the crowd, stating, “He handled it professionally, and that reflects who he is.”
It wasn’t just Texas Tech fans causing chaos; LSU fans also littered their field with trash during their disappointing loss to Alabama.
Currently, Colorado is in second place in the Big XII standings, trailing only top-ten team BYU. The Buffaloes are set to host Utah next Saturday.
