Dyllan Thompson, the offspring of Tina Thompson, who is the second highest scorer in the history of the WNBA and a graduate of the University of Southern California, is a promising wing in the Class of 2024.

He recently decided to join Coach Damon Stoudamire’s program at Georgia Tech, becoming the fifth recruit in his class to do so. Thompson’s commitment is expected to bolster Stoudamire’s recruiting efforts, potentially resulting in a top 30 overall recruiting class for Georgia Tech, as reported by Sports Illustrated.

This past season, Dyllan Thompson was the top scorer for his high school team at Second Baptist in Houston, Texas, with an average of 18 points and seven rebounds per game.

Offers from New Orleans, UNC-Charlotte, and Louisiana Tech were also extended to him, as mentioned on his Twitter

Thompson, the son of former Seattle Storm forward Tina Thompson, who is the WNBA’s second-highest scorer of all time after current Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi. Tina Thompson scored 7,488 points during her WNBA career, a notable achievement although significantly fewer than Taurasi’s current record of 10,368 points.

Dyllan, showing promising scoring skills and post defense in high school, could potentially excel at the college level with the Yellow Jackets in the competitive ACC Conference.
