Marcus Windhager injury 2024

Saints Midfielder Windhager Ruled Out for Weeks with Hamstring Strain

Tough news for the team as scans have confirmed that 21-year-old Marcus Windhager will be out of action for at least four weeks due to a right hamstring strain. Windhager was substituted out of Sunday’s win against Sydney soon after half-time with the injury. This setback is disappointing, especially considering Windhager’s recent excellent form. Nonetheless, the team is confident in his professionalism and dedication to rehabilitation.

In addition, Anthony Caminiti is expected to be unavailable for two to three weeks as he recovers from an ankle injury. Meanwhile, Max King has begun the early stages of his knee recovery. We wish them both a speedy and successful recuperation.

Paddy Dow and Riley Bonner will both be tested at training this week following their respective ankle and foot injuries which precluded them from action over the weekend. Let’s hope they both receive positive news and can return to the pitch soon!

Here’s the updated injury report:

  • Riley Bonner: Foot (Test)
  • Paddy Dow: Ankle (Test)
  • Anthony Caminiti: Ankle (2-3 weeks)
  • Marcus Windhager: Hamstring (4-6 weeks)
  • Brad Crouch: Knee (To Be Confirmed)
  • Jack Hayes: Knee (To Be Confirmed)
  • Max King: Knee (Season)
  • James Van Es: Ankle (Season)

We wish all the injured players a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing them back in action soon! 🌟🤞
