Activision’s upcoming title, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, is scheduled to launch on October 25th. This latest installment in the renowned series will be set in the early 1990s and will be available on Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service from day one. Developed collaboratively by Treyarch and Raven Software, Black Ops 6 will feature a fresh campaign, a multiplayer mode with 16 new maps upon release, and an all-new zombies gameplay experience.
The primary narrative of the game unfolds post-Black Ops Cold War and even includes flashbacks to events from Black Ops 2. The storyline is situated in the early 1990s, towards the conclusion of the Cold War era. Raven Software has overseen the development of the campaign, which is filled with engaging spy missions set amidst intricate government conspiracies. Players will traverse through diverse locations including Southern Europe, the Russian Tundra, the United States, and the deserts of the Middle East.
Developed by Treyarch, Black Ops 6 introduces a multiplayer experience featuring 16 new maps upon release. This includes 12 core 6vs6 maps and four strike maps suitable for 2vs2 or 6vs6 modes. The beloved Classic Prestige feature makes a return, allowing players to continuously progress in the game. Activision promises that this iteration will be “bigger and more rewarding than ever.”
For fans of the Zombies mode, Black Ops 6 brings back the round-based gameplay that pits players against waves of the undead. The game will launch with two new maps and a variety of weapons and upgrades for players to utilize.
Scheduled for release on October 25th, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be accessible on Xbox One, Xbox Series S / X, PS4, PS5, and PC. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will have day-one access on both PC and Xbox platforms.
