Jeff Thomas, who was cut earlier in the season, has returned to the St. Louis Battlehawks as Ja’Marcus Bradley is placed on the injured reserve. Thomas was cut to make way for Jahcour Pearson, meaning he hasn’t played a snap for St. Louis yet this season.

Outside of his tenure with the Battlehawks, Jeff Thomas has previously played in the NFL a few times. He made a few catches in the early going of the 2022 season while playing for the Pittsburgh Maulers.
The native of East St. Louis returned to the city after signing a contract with St. Louis in January. Jeff had eight touchdowns and 1,316 receiving yards during his time in college at Miami. He made an impact on special teams as well, amassing nearly 1,500 KR/PR yards in that time.

Regaining Thomas makes the most sense as the St. Louis Battlehawks get closer to the postseason. Even though he wasn’t playing, he was already acquainted with Bruce Gradkowski’s system from his time at Training Camp and the first few weeks of the season.
This Saturday, the St. Louis Battlehawks and the San Antonio Brahmas will play for the XFL Conference Title.
