Tom Lynch, a forward for Richmond, has a hamstring injury and will be out for at least the next two weeks.
In a cautious move, the important forward started an extended rotation from the ground late in the Club’s most recent match against Hawthorn after experiencing general pain late in his return game.
Subsequent scans have indicated that he had a little injury to his right hamstring. Lynch’s opposing left side was the source of his prior injury layoff.
General Manager of Football Performance at Richmond Lynch would probably only be sidelined for a further two weeks due to the injury, according to Tim Livingstone, considering that he has had nine days off since the Hawthorn game.
“Sadly, Tom did not recover well from the game. As a result, we sent him for some scans to further investigate his right hamstring, and the results showed a minor strain,” the man stated.
Tom started working with the rehab group as soon as he got back to the Club on Friday, and he is making progress toward his recovery in preparation for what we hope will be a comeback in the Round 18 match against GWS.
“It is unfortunate that Tom will miss more football, but it is also crucial that we get him well. He is a key player for us and has worked hard to regain his full fitness.”
