When the Buffalo Bills signed former Kansas City Chiefs wide out Marquez Valdes-Scantling back in May, they increased the depth of their wide receiving group.
Naturally, the signing coincided with the Bills’ decision to move Stefon Diggs in the offseason. Since then, they have signed Mack Hollins, Curtis Samuel, and Chase Claypool in an effort to rebuild that roster.
As the team’s fourth or fifth option, Valdes-Scantling might make the roster. He also brings some experience to the table that could benefit his new defense.
After being selected in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, the Super Bowl winner spent four years as an Aaron Rodgers wide receiver. He went on to play with the Chiefs for a few years after that. However, because the seasoned quarterback is starting his second season with the New York Jets, Rodgers and Valdes-Scantling are once again in the same division.
The seasoned wide receiver recently made an appearance on The Herd, where he disclosed that he worked out this offseason with his former QB.

Fans of the Bills won’t appreciate seeing one of their own associates with the opposition.
Since I moved to Green Bay, Aaron and I have been close friends. I called him and told him I was heading to Los Angeles, saying, “Let’s run some routes.” Thus, we succeeded, dude. visited a high school and ran a few routes with them. It was excellent, Valdes-Scantling remarked.
Although it makes sense that these two are pals, when you play for opposing teams, there is a line that should never be crossed.
You don’t see Josh Allen, for instance, throwing to Allen Lazard, Tyreek Hill, or JuJu Smith-Schuster? The same idea applies whether we’re discussing a household name or someone further down the depth chart. It’s unlikely that Allen would toss the ball to a rival wide receiver.
Therefore, even though Valdes-Scantling and Rodgers are buddies, it’s not exactly a good look for him to do so.
What if Rodgers, while in Green Bay, worked out with a wide receiver for the Bears, Lions, or Vikings? What would the supporters of the Bears and Packers likely say?
That’s right.
It’s the guiding idea. Furthermore, MVS doesn’t appear to comprehend it.
