Sheikha Abrar Khaled Al Sabah, a Kuwaiti royal, expressed that collaborating with the Sussexes would represent a delightful union of European and Arab royalty.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly exploring new entertainment ventures as speculation grows that Netflix may not renew their £80 million deal. Assistance might come from Sheikha Abrar Khaled Al Sabah, a glamorous mother of four and film producer from the Kuwaiti royal family, who has expressed interest in collaborating with the Sussexes.
At a recent appearance at the El Gouna Film Festival in Egypt, she remarked that such a partnership would symbolize a wonderful union of European and Arab royalty. She emphasized the excitement of being part of a new generation of royals who can present their interests while honoring their heritage.
The businesswoman, dedicated to changing the global perception of Arab women, stated, “Everyone portrays us in a way that is not true; we’re actually different. So I’m trying to get that message out there and change the ideas people have about the Gulf.”
At the El Gouna Film Festival, she showcased her style in a stunning black and silver Valentino gown from the Pre-Fall 2024 collection, opting to modify the original design by closing the slit for a more sophisticated and streamlined appearance.
Sheikha Abrar, who earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a focus on Television and Radio from the Gulf University of Science and Technology (GUST) in Kuwait, established Abbey’s Productions in 2019. Her company has already produced a variety of TV shows and films, including comedies and impactful dramas that have aired throughout the Arab world. Recently, Abbey’s Productions launched its first theater production, a musical comedy titled Made In Kuwait.
A potential collaboration with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would evoke memories of the 1989 Gulf tour by King Charles—then Prince Charles—and Princess Diana, who spent time with the Al Sabah royal family at Al Shaab Palace in Kuwait City.
