Antonio Rudiger Praises Barcelona's Lamine Yamal

BREAKING NEWS: Lamine Yamal Impresses Real Madrid’s Centre-Back Player

Real Madrid’s Antonio Rüdiger couldn’t hold back his admiration for Barcelona’s sensational young talent, Lamine Yamal, who is making waves at just 17 years old.  Recently, Rüdiger joined Harry Pinero and Culture Cams on The Inside Scoop podcast, where he opened up about his journey—from childhood to his big move to Real Madrid—and shared insights on the current stars of the game, including Yamal.

“You’ve got to give credit where it’s due,” Rüdiger remarked about the bright-eyed winger. “At 17, what he’s already achieving at [Barcelona] is nothing short of incredible. The stuff he did during the Euros? He deserves all the accolades. He’s got a brilliant future ahead of him.” Rüdiger expressed hope that Yamal remains healthy, as he clearly has a long and successful career ahead.

Yamal has already made 50 appearances for Barcelona in the 2023–24 season, but it was at Euro 2024 where he truly shone. Making history as the youngest player ever to score in the tournament at just 16 years old, he also took home the Young Player of the Tournament award, contributing to Spain’s victory with one goal and four assists in seven matches.

Building on that success, Yamal is one of the standout players for manager Hansi Flick, helping Barcelona secure the top spot in La Liga—just ahead of Rüdiger’s Real Madrid. The teen sensation has already netted five goals across all competitions and made history as the youngest player in La Liga to score a first-half brace. On top of that, he leads the league with five assists in just eight matches, enhancing the play of stars like Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha, and solidifying Barcelona’s frontline as one of the best in Europe.

Fans can look forward to witnessing this exciting matchup when Rüdiger and Real Madrid face Yamal and Barcelona on October 26 in this season’s first El Clásico!
