Wright, listed at 5’11 and 170 lbs, is recognized for his speed and is expected to fill the slot receiver position for this class, alongside the already committed tall outside receiver Jacob Washington. Washington, hailing from Louisiana like Wright, makes him the 3rd Louisianan in the 2025 class, with RB Jasper Parker being the other.
Coach Ron Bellamy has focused extensively on recruiting in his home state this cycle, successfully recruiting Washington and Parker from his alma mater of Archbishop Shaw in Marrero, and now securing Wright from Destrehan up the Mississippi River.
It’s likely that Michigan will continue to pursue additional receivers for the 2025 class, with their sights set on top 100 receiver Andrew Marsh from Texas. The Wolverines are currently in a favorable position to land Marsh and will aim to finalize the deal in the upcoming weeks.
