Demons of Demon Slayer: Dive into the Tragic Backstory of Nakime (Manga Spoilers)

Nakime mystery

The vicious members of the Twelve Kizuki, who have an unflinching love and loyalty towards the Demon King, uphold Muzan Kibutsuji’s reign of terror and violence. However, none of them even compare to Nakime, who receives accolades from Muzan for his obedience and dedication.

Nakime was formerly an undiscovered musician who was having financial difficulties before turning into a demon. However, a terrible catastrophe changed her life forever and set off a chain of events that defined the struggle between humans and demons.

The Life of Nakime Prior to Becoming a Demon

The Unprofessional Biwa Artist Who Turned Into Muzan’s Most Reliable Assistant

Previously, the Upper-Rank Four Nakime was once just a regular person. She was wed to a careless man who detested her and had a crippling gambling addiction. His reckless and naive tendencies meant that he had little to no interest in making future plans for the pair. Nakime had to work very hard to make ends meet while he wasted the money. She tried everything she could for her family as an unknown amateur biwa player, but things took a terrible turn when her husband would not change and drove Nakime to the brink.

Nakime used to wear a kimono while she performed, but one night she realized it was stolen. She quickly discovered that her spouse had taken money and squandered it away. An infatuation that she had been holding in for a long time became overpowering. Her body was overtaken by a torrent of agony and sorrow as her gaze fell upon a nearby hammer, and she used it to savagely murder her spouse. She was horrified by the act’s ferocity, but Nakime was supposed to take the stage shortly.

Nakime had no choice but to wear a tattered and worn-out kimono to the stage. She was incredibly anxious and was shaken to her core by the idea of killing her spouse. Her hands were shaking in anticipation of her performance, and she could feel the looks of disapproval from the audience. To Nakime’s amazement, however, the viewers were mesmerized by the soothing sound of her biwa. She left a lasting impact on the stage owner in addition to earning a substantial sum of money for the performance.

Nakime killed again, gradually turning it into a habit out of desperation to receive the same kind of attention and recognition for her next performance. She quickly rose to prominence as a highly sought-after biwa performer, capturing enormous audiences with her alluring atmosphere and breathtakingly beautiful vocals.

Nakime proceeded with her murderous rampage and show until she unintentionally encountered Demon King Muzan Kibutsuji right before a sizable musical event. Muzan was intrigued by her searching abilities and her intention to assassinate him. She instantly accepted the Demon King’s invitation to transform her into a demon after he saw her potential. Nakime became Muzan’s most reliable ally after committing herself fully to his service on that day.

The Life of Nakime After She Became a Demon

Nakime Was Promoted to the Upper-Rank Four After Hantengu’s Death

Nakime manipulation

Nakime’s Blood Demon Art, which she acquired after turning into a demon, gives her the ability to control the Infinity Castle, an extraterrestrial stronghold. All the inanimate objects in the room are under her control and influence. Because of this, Nakime can even employ the Infinity Castle offensively to surprise her enemies. It is extremely difficult for anyone to approach her because of her capacity to instantly change the layout of any chamber in the fortress.

In addition, Nakime has the ability to create portals within the Infinity Castle, allowing people to travel both inside and outside of the demonic extra-dimensional space. Although this might be utilized offensively, Muzan and his henchmen primarily use it as a means of escape. It only takes Nakime a single strumming of her biwa to change the rooms and other areas of the Infinity Castle. She becomes a very unpredictable opponent as a result of her low barrier for unexpected maneuvers.

Nakime is possibly Muzan’s most devoted demon because she always complies with his orders. Even among the Twelve Kizuki, she stands out for her unwavering allegiance to the Demon King. After Rui’s death in the Rehabilitation Training Arc, Muzan begs Nakime to call in Lower Ranks. Enraged, he begins executing his subordinates one by one. Nakime is unfazed by the horrific killings and patiently awaits the Demon King’s next command. This reveals her unwavering devotion to Muzan and lack of empathy for her allies. After Hantengu dies in the Swordsmith Village, it is her loyalty to the Demon King that finally enables her to obtain the Upper-Rank Four spot in the Twelve Kizuki.

As Tanjiro and his allies are occupied with training Hashira, Nakime emerges as Muzan’s most valuable pawn. She sets out to find Nezuko Kamado and the Ubuyashiki Estate with the aid of her eyeball familiars. This single-minded attention, which hasn’t been possible previously because Nakime is probably concerned with the Blue Spider Lily, is the result of the Demon King’s determination to conquer the sun. As soon as Nakime locates the Ubuyashiki Estate, her efforts pay off and Kibutsuji is one step closer to his lifelong ambition. However, Muzan finds that bribing his arch-enemy backfires because Kagaya has already begun to expect him.

Nakime finds herself at the center of an all-out conflict between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons. Obanai Iguro and Mitsuri Kanroji face her at the Infinity Castle. Despite having the upper hand, neither of the Hashiras is able to hit her. Nakime is the last living Upper-Rank demon when Kokushibo dies. In addition, Muzan has already begun battling Tanjiro and his companions. He declares with assurance that Kanroji and Obanai have died in battle against Nakime.

Muzan is quickly astounded to discover that Nakime is being tricked by Yushiro when Obanai and Kanroji assault him out of the blue. While battling Tanjiro and his allies at the same time, the Demon King makes every effort to regain control over her faithful servant, but it is nearly impossible. Muzan eventually understands that the Infinity Castle could be used against him if he does not make a difficult choice quickly. Nakime’s life of service ends when the Demon King, with his back to the wall, kills her.
