In order to assist the league’s North American headquarters in New York with its commercial expansion efforts, Lega Serie A USA has appointed American sports marketing company Allied Sports as an official agency of record.
The 20-team Italian men’s soccer league, Serie A, has announced Allied Sports as an agency partner to help with its expansion ambitions in the United States.
Designing the league’s commercial strategy and sales goals in that area, the firm will work with the North American Serie A office team, which is headquartered in New York City. Growing the league’s fan base, enhancing alignment “with like-minded brands,” and increasing corporate partnership revenue are the three goals of the pairing.
Atalanta, Roma, AC Milan, Fiorentina, and Genoa are the five Serie A teams (or 25% of the league) that are now owned by Americans.
Moreover, Serie A champion Internazionale (Inter Milan) was taken over by the US investment company Oaktree Capital earlier this week following a debt default by the team’s previous owner, China’s Suning Group.
In terms of athletes, AC Milan’s Christian Pulisic, captain of the US men’s national team, is currently employed. Ten US nationals have participated in the league since 2022.
